Zyban Description

Zyban is an atypical antidepressant used to treat nicotine addiction. Available in tablet form and contains no nicotine.

How Zyban acts

Unlike the majority of anti-smoking means, Zyban does not deliver nicotine into the body. If you use nicotine patches or gums, then you need to stop smoking with the beginning of the treatment, to avoid "overdosing" of nicotine. Taking Zyban, you continue to smoke, and eventually reach the point when you completely stop smoking cigarettes (usually on the second week of the application), and then continue taking it within a few weeks.

The drug influences neurotransmitters in the brain, which are chemicals that are stored in nerve cells and involved in transmitting messages between nerve cells.

Clinical studies have shown that people taking Zyban during disaccustoming from cigarettes, virtually have no problems with excessive irritability, anger, anxiety, concentration of attention and depressed mood.

Side effects of Zyban

Possible side effects are manifested in different people in different ways. Below here is a partial list of side effects that have been identified in clinical trials and have been observed in minor ways. It is unlikely that you exactly will have all reported side effects from taking Zyban, and probably none of them will occur.

• Insomnia.
• Headache.
• Tremor.
• Dizziness.
• Anxiety.
• Dry mouth.
• Digestive problems: constipation, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
• Fever.
• Sweating.
• Rash or itching.
• Increased heart rate.
• Increased blood pressure.
• Loss of appetite.
• Deterioration of vision.
• Pain in the chest.
